My two white mares share six acres of green Iowa grass. They have been together since one was a three-year-old and the other was roughly twenty (although I was told that she was twelve at the time). For fifteen years they have been pasture mates. They have been inseparable since they were brought together by a childhood dream and a long silver horse trailer.
